  I had several pieces of antique solid wood furniture that were damaged when my home was destroyed when a giant oak tree fell directly on my home. These pieces were irreplaceable so I needed a place that would be able to restore them. Included among these pieces were a buffet, a 4 drawer cabinet, a secretary, coffee table, and a barrister’s cabinet. All sustained water or physical damage from the hurricane. I contacted Suzanne from Jax Furniture Refinishing, got an estimate of the work required, and scheduled a date for all of the pieces to be picked up. The pick up date ended up being on 1/31/2025. I received a call last week that everything was done and ready to be returned home. All 5 pieces were returned on 3/7/2025 and I have to say that my wife and I are very pleased with the results. All of the pieces had to be stripped, repairs made, and refinished. Everything looks as good as new. These pieces are at least 80+ years old as they were furniture from my grandparents in New York. I’m hoping that we’re able to enjoy them all for many more decades. If you’re in need of furniture repair or refinishing, I would strongly recommend that you consider Jax Furniture Refinishing to do the work. You’ll be very satisfied with the results by these craftspeople. We have additional pieces that require work, including two side chairs that need to be re-upholstered and once my wife and I decide on the fabric that will go on the chairs, we’ll be contacting Jax Furniture Refinishing.

  I wasn’t sure how they would be able to repair my chairs broken leg from a recent move. I don’t know how they did it, but my chair’s leg, all of them look better than they ever have! This was pr of wingbacks belonged to my grandmother, so they are over 60 years old and just as beautiful as ever! I will always go to Jax Furniture to all my refinishing and upholstering needs. Plus. They are so professional and so friendly! Such a great experience!

  This is the second time I’ve used Jax for reupholstering chairs. They did an excellent job, finding a creative solution for decorative piping to finish the look of my antique chair.   Jax Furniture recovered this couch and 2 chairs. They did a fantastic job. The staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. I now am having them refinish 2 pieces of furniture. Will post photos of those when they are finished. Thank you, thank you!

  I needed to have a leather recliner repaired. The Left leg was completely broken into the frame of the chair. They did a wonderful job on the repair. The customer service was exceptional. I would recommend this business for repairs.

  Jax Furniture refinished our large round wood dining room table top that was a mess from misuse, incorrect cleaning products, and KIDS! They did an AMAZING job, it looks better than brand new! It took a lot longer than expected, but well worth the wait!

  We asked Jax Furniture Refinishing & Upholstering to refinish a beautiful old Ethan Allen dining room table — well loved but well used, it needed a complete stripping and refinishing. The biggest concern was that the beautiful grain on the table would be swept away in the process. Although every other person with whom we had consulted had refused the job, Jax Furniture Refinishing took on the challenge. Here is the result — we are so very happy to have our beautiful table so beautifully restored !!!

  Absolutely recommend Jax Furniture Refinishing & Upholstery. They reupholstered 4 dining room chairs to perfection. Customer service is awesome (thank you Suzanne). Reupholstery was done with an expert eye to detail. Notes: I emailed and filled out online forms for an estimate to several other companies. Only Suzanne responded and did so right away. Once we made contact she never ghosted me, even after they had my chairs in-house. I delivered my chairs. They made it very easy and efficient. They also recommended that the fabric I provided would not work well on my chairs. I worked with Suzanne on picking out new fabric (free fabric samples). The chair reupholstery is incredibly professional. The chair edges and folds around the arms are perfect with no bunching. The underside of the chair is even finished cleanly. I just could not be happier and intend to have my bedroom armchair done by them next. Also, payment online was easy and the price very reasonable and worth every penny. ————- 2nd Review Had JAX Furniture reupholster my bedroom chair and ottoman. I supplied the fabric and they did an awesome job. They updated the original yellow chair style and added a great back pillow. Very happy and tell everyone I know about them.   When they first came by to see what we had to re-upholster (bring back to life) I mentioned the chairs were purchased 1998, or so. We loved these chairs so comfortable, but needed life brought back. We were give a variety of fabrics and colors to chose. When the time came, the chairs were carefully carried away. So empty was the space without them Then 2 weeks later, both covered from the rain, they came back to us. Such beautiful materials and color. So bright and warm. Every detail known before was there brought out so lovely. Thank you! Brilliant!

  JAX Furniture &Refinishing is amazing. They refinished and old bookcase for me and reupholstered a chair. Both finished products turned out beautifully. Although the bookcase took a great deal longer than planned, I’m still very pleased with the result. Suzanne was wonderful to work with, and kept me well informed of the progress. Highly recommend.   We had a wonderful experience with Jax Furniture when we asked if they could restore our antique, matching Louis XIV Style end tables. The process was smooth and efficient, a very reasonable estimate was provided and pick-up was reliable and easy. I did prepay the estimated price. The tables were returned in about two months time and the result was stunning! The photos tell the story. These tables, which belonged to my parents, have never looked as beautiful in my lifetime, they are breathtaking. I applaud the talented Finishers, the compliments are endless endearing. Working with everyone at Jax Furniture was delightful and their work is highly recommended. We will be happily engaging their professional services again very soon.

  I was truly pleased with the work that was recently done on a bedroom suite of mine that is a family heirloom. The finisher repair drawer wear that was beginning to scrape and remove the finish. He matched the finish to where you cannot see any difference, no matter where I looked. I also cannot say enough about the pickup and redelivery of furniture back to me.   Good things. about Jax furniture refinishing , they refinished a chair and. a regulator clock from the 1890s that has been in my family since then. I'm very happy everything is beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone. Beautiful, beautiful work.

  JAX Furniture refinished 2 items for me that were damaged in our commercial moving process…. a small mirrored cabinet as well as an antique vanity chair. They came back perfect. It wasn’t cheap, but worth the money
